Whats the best way to remove the oil filter on my 968? It is so tight I can't get my large hands in there to get a grip. Do I need to get a tool to assist? ![Confused](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Thanks.

A lot of parts stores sell an end-of-filter socket that fits on a 3/8" socket wrench. It looks like a cup that fits over the end of the filter. That's what I prefer. Be sure to stuff rags everywhere you can and remove all the under trays if your car still has them.
And DO NOT punch a hole in the filter -- the best approach to keep from spilling oil is to quickly remove and invert the filter, but some will always spill.

You'll want to confirm this is the right size (I believe it is), but this should work for you:
