Ouch...You can get them for pennies at any junkyard as they were widely used on many BMW's, you can even order new ones from a mid 80' bmw 3 series for ~65 dollars/each from pelican. They also don't take more than 5 minutes to R&R both of them and as long as you don't move the bracket they don't need to be regapped. The last person I installed sensors for paid 10 bucks for a set of like-new ones from a German wrecking yard.

They were out of a M30 equipped 5 series. You can find the M30 engine in the 5,6, and 7 series BMWs from the 80's and early 90's. These cars are usually abundant in any junkyard. Cheap fix, especially considering what they go for new.

I'm familiar with looking for the tach bounce. I my case it's intermittent. When I have bounce it starts. It runs absolutely fine once it starts. I'm suppose to have new sensors. Since they were installed, I've swapped engines. My next step is to check the gap since I didn't do that when I re-installed the bracket.
