Default Racing action at NJMP Thunderbolt

Last weekend I was driving the ChumpCar at NJMP in SP1 class at the PCA club race. It was a fabulous weekend, the car ran great, even I did pretty well. In three sprint races, I finished 2nd place twice and also got a 1st place. I even set the SP1 lap record.

I also had a chance to co-drive a 996 GT3 Cup car in the enduro - and that was a total treat. It was just like the 944, but with more power, more grip and better brakes.

Anyhow, here's the record setting lap:

And, remember, here's the car 10 months ago!

you're a maniac and a mad man (but very cool).

it's truly amazing wtf you've done with that car.

this is probably my favorite of all the videos you've posted.

btw, the short-stroke LS7's parts are now on their way the shop.

engine builder says she'll be good for near 8500 rpm and with a moderate cam go a bit past 600 hp.

going to set the limiter way low, however (@ about 6,400).

and staying with a stock LS7 cam.

That's awesome, Van! To see that go from what it was to what it is (and what you are doing with it) is great.

Another one truly saved and given a new, second life!

Great driving, so smooth.

Great stuff! Very smooth and fast.

You'd have had 'em for sure but for the agricultural excursion!
