Every part changed or bern touched isnt tighened up i wonder what im going to find next
1.camshaft bolt lose- mangled keyways and woodruff key.
2. Cv joint not tightened up got lose found it holding on one bolt.. while changing, it just fell apart.
3. Controll arm holding on one bolt i was able to turn other two by hand..
i wonder what surprise im going to find next.

i'm open to buying a 944 and driving it til the timing belt breaks.

and when after 75 k miles this still hasn't happened, you have a tech with a clue change everything out.

this way you get a cheap car and you can save up for the v8.

I bought it like this back in june, this car for past few years was mainly sitting in garage PO Took it to the track once in a while, but before him another owner was racing it untill he missed a turn in a track and did some front end damage, looks like while he was fixing it he forgot about half of the bolts.. but i would strongly suggest to avoid fluid motor union, my friend got some really bad expierence with them i mean really bad like blowing up motor because they didnt tighten up the oil pan bolt and the oil drained of the car..

Yeah im doing everything my self and i enjoy it i never thought i would be so intrested in fixing everything my self, ofcorse rennlist forums were a huge help in things i didnt know or had no clue

It can take awhile to find one you can trust if at all. If you do find one, might as well move in next door! or start gettin dirty yourself. There are some jobs I just dont have the time or capacity for. And I recently moved 80 miles away from the shop I trust. Still worth the drive that is if I can drive it there.

Carlsbergas sorry about your car... Most places dont even know where to begin with these cars, even porsche specific places in some cases. I always try to diagnose the problem first so I don't come in like a bafoon saying it makes noises fix it! Maybe ask to watch as they work.

Have you contacted them about the work they didnt finish on your car? You should be compensated for the parts you have to replace now.

I wasnt able to contact first and second owners of this car who raced it and did all the mods, so im just trying to figure out everything my self, not long ago i found out i have turbinetics turbo, 3rd owner didnt even know about it
i think engine was rebuilt too every seal are like new, no oil leaks from engine exept from accusump system wich i dont use

I took my car to the dealer to have them tension the belts after I replaced them. They apparently lifted it on a lift and did NOT use the lifting points. When I found the bent areas they're reply was "Wasn't us. Must have been the last guys you took it to." "Your the only guys who have touched it since I bought it." Response:" Oh" Me: That's it?" Them: "You could sue."


Needless to say, I don't trust nobody anymore.

My car has the same bends from some moron lifting it from
the rockers... Makes you really wonder sometimes...

Yeah especially of its lowered.. so called "mechanics" have no clue sometimes wjat to do or how to lift them, thank god my brother works at workshop where they have lift we do everything our self. Im still affraid togo do an alligment. I bet some morons can screw it up :/

heybif: I'm from you area, can you tell me what dealer you went to?

I just did an alinment on mine, I had seized up camber bolts on the struts
seems someone used a impact to tighten them and took most of the threads
out of the nuts...

For the rear there seems to be a special tool needed, but mine is on the
money so the tool got put on the back burner.
