Default Snub Nose / Bumper Pad Removal

Hey guys, I wanted to do a separate thread just to show our Snub Nose and Bumper Pad Removal on my '88 924S.


Removed Bumpers and Drilled Shocks

I'm seriously considering doing this to my car. What do you do to the shocks?

You have to remove the bumper and the shocks, and drill the back of the shock housing to drain the oil. Be careful oil will spray everywhere. Wrap a rag around it and wear eye protection. Then push in shock. You may have to bolt back on shocks and bumper and push in bumper. Then weld up the hole you drilled and it should not move.

I filled in by the turn signal lens a little different. The metal fill in holds the light in very well!

Did one of the B&B 944s front bumper, didn't collapse the shocks though.
We didn't put a lot of effort in this, just welded the holes, reinforced the brackets on the back, added the tow hook, and powder coat.

I removed my pads and liked it more than I thought I would
No room to do the snub nose thing though...
