Default And now, for something completely different. . .

Dropped by a friend's shop last week and took a couple of shots of his resurrected project. It's going to hit the road with a blown 388 small block LT1. It will be completely street legal, with A/C and cruise control.

That's very cool. I'd love to know how he fit the transmission where he did!

Everything on the car been highly modified, but the trans tunnel mod is my favorite part. The trans is a Tremec 6-speed. He started this project nearly 20 years ago, but it's been on a back burner for at least 15. I don't know what triggered the renewed interest, but he's back in with both feet.

I can't wait to see this thing on the street.

That's what I said. The wheels that are on it now are just rollers. They've gone up a couple of sizes on the new front tires, but it won't make much difference. The rear end will be locked, also. It will be an absolute joy to drive around turns.

They're looking for a manual rack for it now.

They're expecting 700+ HP. I don't think cold fluid will ever be an issue.

Thats wicked. And i like the thread title nod to Monty Python if that was intentional.

I'm glad someone was old enough to catch that.

I'll update the thread as the car progresses (if he doesn't decide to take another 15 year break, that is).
