I don't question your kit...but in the stage 1 kit (and other stages w/o MAF) how do you make sure the engine gets enough fuel? adjustable fuel pressure regulator? does an air/fuel meter come with the kit?
Just wondering...cause fuel is always a big deal with 951's...

John, Tim:
Congrats you guys did it, f'in' amazing guys, I thought no one would ever get a finalized kit on the market.

Have any idea of the base price for the 968 kit?

Will it require a custom intake manifold?

Will the variocam still be usable?

Can you supply a thicker head gasket for a lower CR to run more boost (for 968 and other models)?

What about noise levels from the SC's? I'd rather people didn't know i had it under my hood. Other cars I've heard that were SC'd you could hear coming from a mile away.

We believe the kit for the 968 will run the same as the kit for the S2, we are currently installing that kit now on Mike Mui's S2 Cab.

Yes the vario cam will be in function and we do plan to offer with the kits a custom thicker head gasket, although compression points can only be brought to soo much by that method. In our full blown kit, which we offer in house only installs, we supply turbo pistons and forged rods, this makes that 944 now ready to run 20psi boost. A real asskicker.

I dropped my 91 944S2 Cab off at SFR this past Saturday. They are currently installing thier new 944S2 supercharger on my car. I was at there shop for about five hours and got the chance to see there full line of parts and manufacturing process. Let me tell you these guys know there stuff. Unlike many tuners, they make all of there on parts in house. I saw the newly released kit for the 2.5NA 944 and it is off a very high qality. John and Tim removed the kit and reinstalled it right in front of me to prove to me how easy it is to install. The kit was well engineered. My 91 944S2 cab well need their custom manifold install for the supercharger. The manifold they produce is a work of art. They are going to do a base line dyno run on my car and then dyno it after the supercharger is installed. My car currently has a port and polished head, elgin cams, adjsutable cam gear, MAF system, chip, custom exhaust, adjustable, and a Nology ignition system. I can't wait to see the baseline dyno sheets vs. the supercharger dyno sheets

I can't resist:
"It's nice to be injected, but I'd rather be blown!"

Words from my 95 968!

SFR,

Are the "custom" intake manifolds going to be like the awesome 951 one you have on your site?

PS- You can use an air-to-water intercooler on a Roots type supercharger.

the same ones, we worked hard on that unit, it flows much better than stock,a definate plus whether you have the 944NA or the 16 Valve cars. Its a must on the 16 Valve cars due to fitment issues with the SC kit, you don't "need" it on the 8 valve cars, but it would be a worthwhile upgrade!

Take care!

from the pics it looks like you have removed the a/c compressor and relocated the alt. the web site mentioned nothing about deleting the a/c. i for one would like to keep my a/c. some time in the future i'm going to do a sorta rimmer modification to my car utilizing an eaton compressor. i really dont like the centrifugal superchargers(except the rotrex)

I see "951 comming soon" under superchargers.

How and why would you super charge a turbo car?

I think the more important question is where might one find room for the second "charger"

My guess is that the SC replaces the TC, and one would do it so that (1) lag would be eliminated and (2) one could simplify the exhaust plumbing and reduce backpressure.

...both of which are enough to make me interested, especially since it may be simpler (and cheaper?) to SC a turbo car than an NA one (intercooler already present, etc).

Tim? Am I correct?

Bump.
Also to John - Is this kit in Level 2 or 3 an honestly useable system for a daily driver(you know the drill, in stop and go traffic, etc.)
If one boughtthe level 3 let's say with the intercooler - what additional mods for an otherwsie totally stock 944 NA would you recomend? I'm interested in the true bottom line cost. Thanks in advance.

Bump.
How realistic is the use of this kit (Stage 2 or 3) on a daily driver? Be as honest as you can.

What other upgrades (separate from the kit) are "you-could-do-without-them-but-you-wouldn't-if-it-were-yours" required for a daily driver that is otherwise a completely stock 944 NA?
Thanks in advance.
