about 20 minutes away. Did you see the topic about the Pacific Northwes Get together??
PS, I was recently reffered to a Porsche mech who is the "retired" chief tech at MCL (he works out of his garage now). He is supposed to be super knowledgeable and affordable (as in he knows the cheap vw parts that fit our cars and offers good rates). To top it all of his name is Klaus (quintesential Porsche mech name). Do any of you guys in Van. know this person? Is he as good as he sounds? I sure am tired of paying Weissach 85 bucks an hour.

I asked, because I have a good friend at UBC. She says she has seen quite a few cars like mine. Just woundering if any of them might be yours.

While we're all here chatting, how many of you are coming down to the dyno day being organized by Skip in Seattle? You don't have to put your car on the dyno if you don't want to, just come down and hang out, it'll be fun. I'm going down, and I think we should all meet in Vancouver somewhere for breakfast, then storm the border together.

Oh, and by the way. I've previously mentioned this in another post, but I highly recommend my mechanic to any Porsche owners in the Vancouver area. His name is Otto, he speaks German, he charges less than $85/hr (I think it's $65), he's honest, and you can definitely trust him. His shop is called Euro Otto Sport, it's in Port Coquitlam, just off the Mary Hill Bypass. His number is 604-941-1466. One warning, don't bring him your car if you want bandaids stuck on it. He won't cut corners, and doesn't believe in mickey-mouse solutions.

16 Feb, 10am-4pm... do a search for "Seattle Dyno Day" for the details.
Come one, come all! As Ian said, you can just watch (or make fun) I'm certain there will be fish stories mixed with hops after!

Have not checked him out yet but here he is (works privately out of his car hole [garage] so it must be cheap): Klaus (604)-222-3488. I know this man who maintained a '71 911T with him and claimed he was a great guy. Plus, like I said, he can get the equvalent VW parts (many $$ saved).
