Default GOOD BYE 944 :(

Hello, I Have been on these forums since 2011. Has been a lots of up's and downs with my 944.

Here are some pictures of almost 3 years of having this car. When I bought the car it had 187 000 miles and right now it has 205 000

My first picture of the car bring her back from vancouver.

the timing belt was broken so I had to get the head redone

Like a true millwright I fixed up the seats for cheap

Interior when i bought the car

after some work

repaint

So, The engine has always leaked oil. going 300 km i would have to put a liter of oil in.

changing the front seals, aos and all that fixed it leaking all down the engine but it was still going through that much oil, so it pretty much came down to the rings where probably going.

It is an automatic and the other week I lost reverse and 3rd.

I had a good talk with my mechanic and He said I think its time you finally go ahead and get the boxster you wanted. I had 3 cars I wanted to look for a 2005 boxster S a 2002 Boxster S and a 2003 Boxster S

The 2005 was a midnight blue but had scratches and the owner was sketchy.

I ended up with the 2003 boxster 38 500 km on it, its got the papers of authenticity and everything window sticker the whole 9 yards.

I think i might try find a cheap auto tranny or try fix it myself then sell the car as a running parts car or something. I love the look of the 944 but it is nice to have something more modern and damn she pulls like a bat out of hell!

Looks like you put some love into the 944. I know you are sad to see it go. Glad you found something that seems to have soothed the wounds.

Noooooo your "silver'd out" 944 is my favorite!!! I hope it doesn't get parted haha. Somebody needs to throw a manual tranny in there and enjoy the car many more years

Want to sell your Clear side markers/turn signal lenses? ill send you my amber ones back if you want to keep it complete.

Grats on your new boxster, I've been thinking ill do the same thing with a cayman in a few years once they come down in price a little bit.

Enjoy the Boxster! I've owned a 2003 Boxster S and they are great.

My wife has her 2nd 2002 boxster, both black. Low miles cars and she loves 'em. I had a 2007 Cayman S and it was a 6 speed. I really miss that car but the economy got it. So I'm back with another 944 (my third). This one's completely rebuilt mechanically and I'm now into the cosmetic phase of the rebuild. I'm planning on keeping this one since it's an unusual color and I'm so intimately associated with it having done all the work.

Depending on what I do with the car I will keep that in mind! I have my old side markers / turn signals still
