Default Just Installed the NA Tune

I generally hang out over in the 951 board but I also have an 86 NA and venture over here occasionally. The NA is actually my wife's car and it is really clean with only 58K original miles. I am pretty selective when it comes to modifications on this car but my wife is going to be doing some Auto-X this summer so I was looking for a bit more power. I have worked with Rogue Tuning a great deal on my 951 builds and I am have been VERY impressed with Joshua's stuff. Therefore I decided to install the NA Tune and I could not be happier with the results.

It took about 1.5 hrs to install the NA Tune MAF and chip including converting the DME to 28 pin. Car started right up, only had to adjust the idle. The car definitely has a bit more power but even more importantly to me the car feels more responsive across the whole range. This is an awesome product!

Wow that's a clean car. The NA tune fits right in as well.

Is your coolant empty or is it straight water?

Looking great Shawn! Are you guys still thinking about making it out to the 944Fest next month? Since Rogue is sponsoring and, if you are coming, it would be awesome to be able to point people over to your car to see one of their products in use.
Even better that they are giving away the same NA tune setup as a door prize this year.

Looks great Shawn! I showed my Wife your pictures, and she said, "why doesn't your NA look that good."

*Oh - and needing to re-adjust the idle is normal. The MAF provides nearly no restriction compared to the AFM, so typically the idle needs to be reset to account for the lack of intake restriction.

Thanks! Nice catch on the coolant tank, I actually had drained the system and replaced the anti-freeze at the same time I installed the NA Tune. Guess I took the pic before I re-filled the coolant.

Great to meet you in person at the FL gathering! Appreciate the cold beverage and tee shirt . Unfortunately I have an annual Jet Ski trip planned with my son and some friends down the Tennessee River the same weekend so I will not be able to attend.

Yes, idled a bit high, super easy to adjust on the NA.

Glad to hear you like it. I hope to finally make a 944 fest this year and maybe thank Josh for all his work to make this product.

Thanks for the compliment!
I am sponsoring the Fest, but won't be there in person...

I was going to propose we take my car to the Fest Joshua...until Google Maps reminded me that it's 21 hours one way. Ouch.

Yeah - it is quite the haul... I would love to go sometime, but anything but flying is painful.

I understand. For me it would be a 14 hour drive if I go this year. Sucks it is so far. We really need to see if there would be enough interest in doing some kind of yearly 944 thing down south. All the states TN on south and from Texas to Georgia I bet we could get a few guys to want to get together.

Of course you being over in the central west are still a drive for you. Are there any big annual 944 get togethers out in Cali?
