Post 968 and 944 Interchangeable parts.

What parts are interchangeable with a 944? Not necessarily the exact same, but will interchange...

Lots of parts can be upgraded as a simple bolt on operation. Some will take more work, but can be done. A handful aren't posible.
If that isn't enough detail, you might want to rephrase the question. What did you have in mind?

I think I'd take the:
Seats
Engine
Transmission
Wheels
DME
Maybe the hatch?
And anything else that might spice the car up ;-)

The 968 rear suspension, and most of its front suspension, and all of its brakes are 951 parts.

Seats- bolt right up as far as I know...not sure how that'd spruce up a 944 though...unless your exisitng seats are worn badly and can pick up some 968 seats cheap..
Engine- there's a few people on here that have done this, but I believe they all had late 944's...
transmission- requires shift linkage and I believe axles and torque tube..
wheels- you would need spacers, but they would fit.
DME- this would go along with the engine...if not doing the engine, then no I dont think you could swap just the DME.
hatch - yep that'll swap over...you wont be able to use the key to open the hatch from outside the car anymore though...the integrated 3rd brake light is in the way..

all that fits but lets not forget the easily applicable tid bits like the door handles, spoiler, inner door panels, mirrors, and speakers. Those all serve to improve your 944

adrial the engine requires the torque tube because the clutch housing is bigger making the torque tube shorter.
