i like mine, have had it in for about a month.

I bought my car with low kms and its amazing how regular use over 5 yrs has changed the feel of the gear change so I have just bought and am awaiting for delivery of the only944 shift lever.

I installed one on my 87, just love the way it shifts now! DO yourself a
favor, get a mirror to see when the lever is lined up with the divit in the
trans shaft. It's a pain to get things lined up but still it was only a half hour
job..

If you have a late car and the old one ain't so stuck on there it can be a half hour install but if worst case like mine it can take hours haha. And it's kind of a pain to get to being on the top of the transmission and all.
I am lost. My 924s has early mounts and I didn't have to support the transmission or fight anything.

I have the short shifter, it looks nice on my workbench. Once I get the N-tune, I will install the shifter. Right now, I can't move the car into position to work on it.

Default Latest on my shifter

I've been driving my car for a few months now with the new shifter from online944 and I'm telling you it really makes my car feel sweet. crisp shifts and 30% less throws in all axes.

Sure the 24s is early mount? Here's what mine looks like after the only944 install... No way I'd be able to get my hand in there with the mount there. Btw I don't have a lift so the little clearance I have under the car on a jack stand doesn't help.

This sure sounds promising!
Aperently they are 89$ now but with updated design in stainless instead of alu.

The 924S has the late engine and gearbox so should have the late mount?

One more Q:

How important is it to do something about the other rod aprox 15cm going 90 degrees in direction against the rear right wheel on the gearbox?
Don't know what to call it...

What does changing that rod to a uniball type rod mean in feeling?

I have an early 944 and did it with the all four wheels touch the ground and the mount still in place. although space wise it probably helped that my muffler is not that wide. I had a heck of a time with the last nut (shifter position) took me 20 mins to get that thing off.... it at least went on a lot easier then coming off.

The 924s has the early crossmember, fuel tank, and transmission mounts. Look at the fitment listed here:
http://www.paragon-products.com/Tran...375.045.00.htm

I put my short shift kit in without taking the mount loose. I did it in my garage without a lift, and I don't recall using a jack even though the car is lowered a good deal:

Any more reviews, if you don't mind? I'm really considering this short shifter now that my mechanics are finally well sorted.
