Edit:
I'd like to do a fun run on May 4 with some other 944s! Any pcar is welcome but the idea is to gather 944s, 924s, 968s and turbos. Here's the route I want to take:
https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=T...a=4,5&t=m&z=10

For people coming from SJ or further south, you can split and go home once we reach SJ. Or you can join us for the last section to Sunol and double back to go home.
If you can come, come! If your pcar is down, see if you can ride along with someone, or borrow your friend's car or something. The scenery is epic, the roads are amazing, and it's great when you can see a bunch of 944s around you. It makes the cruise more fun.
I'm going to determine a good initial meeting spot, and I'll update this post.
Lunch: if we get to San Jose late, we'll eat there. There's a shopping center on our path in San Jose with different restaurants, including a cafe, a pizzeria, a Jack in the Box, etc. If we're ahead of schedule, we'll grab lunch at the end of the run in Fremont, I know some great places there (or you can go get lunch wherever you want).

You guys are just trying to set up a simple GTG and having problems. I remember trying to get many Sierra Fun Runs together for people all over NorCal and finally having to say "Some of us are meeting at so and so and driving this route, be there if you can". Everyone always has something else going on these days. The good news is you can always drive the same roads by yourself and have a great time no matter how many show up.

I want to do a run, not just a meet. I remember the runs you set up, Steve - so much fun.
I'll edit the first post to reflect that this is a fun run thread.

I'll be doing this run on May 4th with PCA Loma Prieta Region.
WhenMay 4 – 5, 2013 Russian river run.
DescriptionSaturday May 4th:
The tour starts with breakfast on the Bay in
Berkeley. Our first stop is the Marin French
CheeseFactory to sample cheeses and take photos
by the lake. Come enjoy great Porsche roads and
lunch at the Historic Union Hotel with time to
stretch your legs while exploring the quaint town of
Occidental. We will stop for wine tasting before we
park at our hotel in Winsor and walk across the
street for dinner. There will be a social hour after
dinner at our hotel for those who want to share a
glass of wine or just relax with friends.
Sunday May 5th:
Breakfast at the hotel before heading to historic
downtown Healdsburg for a stroll around the
square. We will visit a special area winery for lunch
together before heading home.
Approximate tour costs:
Breakfast: Berkeley Marina with view of the Bay:
$10-$15 (menu or buffet)
Lunch Saturday: Historic Union Hotel in Occidental
$10-$15 (order off the menu)

Hey Cas, I'm sure it's not your intention, but advertising that PCA tour like that hurts this run's chances. I'm not into wine and cheese tours like that so I'm still doing this drive, if anyone else is interested you can come with me.
At the same time, if people want to suggest a new date...?

Yeah dude, I'm back in the bay big time. Took a job that had me move back from LA, and now I'm just down the road from you! I'm free sunday-tuesday weekly, we should catch up!
