I think I won the hatch battle. No hatch, no problems.

(And no major plexiglass/lexan/whatever body work until we decide to throw some extra theme bits on it for LeMons.)

We don't run a hatch on our chumpcar and we believe it hurts us on the straights at bigger tracks like Road Atlanta and Road America. It wasn't initially worth the cost for us, but we're thinking of getting a cracked used from some some guy pretty soon. Putting side windows in too.

Your PO's hated the hatch -- it killed airflow and they drilled holes in it at one point.

Some contact/offroading combo had the hatch pop off and would no longer stay shut.

(DizzyJ and I)
We've been running sans hatch from day one -- so I don't know any other way.

Our Dragon has the hatch with Lexan -- only ran H2R with it -- it was loosey goosey
but that just might be the Dragon. Fun to drive.

We've never had them both out there at the same time - so can't compare them.

Before we lost our head gasket -- the '24 was hooked up and driving fast.

We run 17" Direzza's 225/245.

It's an 83.

I know it had some suspension parts replaced recently--I'll have to see the full list of what's been done and check a few of these things. Thanks!
Don't look too close -- you're passenger side front a-Arm is from our 924S.
Your Passenger rear is from O-neg -- our universal donor :-)
Traded for a set of spark plugs during an H2R race!

dizzyj - the H2R enduro mandates hilaaaaaariously high treadwear tires. They're still on the car, so my test drive kinda felt like a dorifto session at times, heh. I know I was slow but I was laughing so. much! At least the slides are pretty easy to catch.
That's what makes the 944 so great -- lots of fun on the track and very forgiving.

Our Dragon was a drifting machine -- Turn 7 floored looking out the drivers window. Then back the other way for 8 :-) It wasn't faster than our 924S -- but was a blast to drive at the time. We've since got the 924S perfectly balanced and we can do 4 wheel drifts --

You're not the Mike (?) that got Pferd's hatch, are you? (I thought someone said a Michael had it last.)

I'm going to stick with the 15" wheels that came with it, I think. Soooooo looking forward to not having to buy 18" track-worthy tires (...as often).
