What about Rifs photoshop pic???
I was looking at Rifs photoshop pics of a 944 without the back hatch window. I love it!! I had the hatch open just the other nite and I said to myself, "This car would look incredible without the back hatch window."
I'm going to look into getting a conversion done this summer. I think I can still have a small area to put stuff in (the small area that will still be left over) and I won't have to remove the back seats.
I just love the "non-back hatch" look....
....anyone else like this look??

Yes, I had this idea about 6 months ago and Rif generated the photo in response to my request for a concept pic. There's a bunch of threads in the archives on it. I am in process of making this a reality for my fly hoopty. I think it will be sweet.

I loved the idea from the get go. I always had that imagine in my head before it even surfaced, I just never had the photoshop skills.
I wish I had the skills to work something up for it.

Alex, Open page 2 of this board, scroll down to the thread on "944 trunk lid....". Open it, and scroll down.

Jim,
Thanks for location of the picture. That is a pretty sweet look - I think it gives the 944 a bit more of an exotic look. Anyhow, let us know Prince, what you find out about the conversion.

This project is literally "on ice" right now, but I am trying to locate a hatch frame, no glass, that I will attach fiberglass to. This is going to be done by mid-summer, if I can manage it in any way. Time is tight. I'm still conflicted about the size and type of spoiler to use.

The one thing that makes the 944 able to be my daily driver is the fact that, despite its size, the hatchback design gives it a lot of cargo room. I'd hate to give up the room.
