Here's some more pics of my 924S. Not very good pics but, you can see that there are no typical seat tears. About the only thing wrong was the hood had a couple of hail dings, which I can remove with paintless dent repair. It also had some cracks in the dash.
Considering 52,000 miles and one owner with all of the timing belts recently put in place, do you think I paid too much ($5,000)
It was a fair price considering the mileage if checked by CarFax and the condition of the car.
This was an interesting thread. Glad to have just rejoined the Porsche family. I just purchased an Ebay car for a bit over $4k. It could use motor mounts, some brake work, and a replacement fuel line. Other than that it runs pretty well. It sat dormant for many years, I believe.
Its a California car with a reported 75,000 miles. I think it will be a nice driver. It could use fresh paint on the hood and roof due to sun fading, and clear coat damage. I guess I had better plan on timing belt work in the future sometime soon, to stay ahead of the maintenance.
Right now I'm just freshening up the interior, and changing filters, hoses belts etc. Wish I could find some seats that weren't split (and affordable) on the internet somewhere! I personally love the styling (even more than the 944) and feel these cars are highly underrated. Cheers, Mike
Nice find. Real leather seat covers are expensive. I bought a set of vinyl-simulated leather seat covers from Iggee. on Ebay many years ago and they fit perfect, look good and have held up well in AZ.
I have an '87. I took a hit to the driver's side door last month. I've been contemplating whether to just have the door repaired at a cost of 3k, or.. have the whole car done for about 8k.
