OP, that's a nice looking spoiler, GLWS.

Mehh... As was said, my 91 S2 came with the hoop spoiler before there was a 968.

it also has the 3ltr motor and the turbo nose.

I would probably not put those 968 bits on an NA but on a turbo or S2 they look right at home.

Agreed 100%.

And just to clarify - the '91 (and I think '90 also) S2 coupe had a hoop spoiler with no external 3rd brake light. The 968 coupe had a similar/same hoop spoiler but with an external 3rd brake light. For those interested in putting this style of wing on your 944, look for the S2 one, so you can access your trunk keyhole!

The spoiler is the same between the S2 and 968 - there's a cover that goes in place of the 3rd brake light that gives clearance for the key. So you could get a 968 hatch, attempt to find just the cover and install a new OE 3rd brake light. Personally, not being able to get to the key hole isn't a big deal since I have a button on my remote to unlock the trunk. And in an emergency, I can just remove the 3rd brake light to gain access. I can't imagine there will ever be an emergency though since there's a lock on either door and the hatch area is open to the rest of the interior.

Normally I would agree. But just a few weeks ago I had an engine fire and the extinguisher was in one of the rear cubbies

Damn. Yes, that would be an emergency! I have the 968 cab cubbies in my car and keep the extinguisher in there. I've been thinking about getting a seat mount.
