My carpet is original. I replaced some damages pieces in the hatch with some better ones and painted all of the carpet with SEM colorcoat. I took a sample of good carpet from under the side panels and brought it to a local autobody supply place and they matched it pretty well. I'm using a nice set of super plush burgandy mats for the time being to protect the newly painted carpet. I also painted my center console and armrest with SEM colorcoat with no issues so far.
Keep in mind that my car is a weekend warrior.
Here are some of the pieces hanging in my shed getting painted.

My car is brown/tan from the factory but I am contemplating a color change now that the body is carmona red instead of mahogany brown. My DIY carpet has held up well for a few years but is hard to keep clean, so I'm looking for new options.
When I bought my early '85 gaurds red 944 it had a brown interior that was so sun faded that parts of the carpet had turned purple. I got in touch with IFC and bought a near perfect complete black interior, including dash, gauges and center console for $150 plus shipping. It was out of an '87 924S. Granted this was back in '92, but the're out there. you just have to do a little research and calling around. I would love to post some pics of it for you but for some reason the site administrator will not allow me to. Best of luck..

Sabelt racers. They are cheap, comfortable, FIA approved, and look right in an early car.

Depending on price I might think about fixing up my interior.

if you must, you can mothball that **** up in the attic.

a couple of proper 944s with the goods.

.
I'm more partial to Momo wheels. This weekend I'll try to post pictures of the Momo Mod 07 wheel I installed last saturday (as well as the Recaro seats I finally got installed!)

Love these seats. If I can run across a recover kit for the old sport seats I have that need recovering they would be moved up to the front of the 'to-do' list.
