I double-posted within 5 minutes by accident, or rather, my flakey machine did. How I can't say.
Kind of the way you double-clutch, except it takes you 10 minutes to complete!

Hey, maybe now that Porsche is working with Harley Davidson again, maybe they can make an aircooled V motor for a new car that leaks more oil that either a new (or old) HD or old ****e 911
And, if aircooling was such a great idea, why did Porsche watercool most of their factory race cars from the late seventies on?
OK, I ragged 911's, now I have to think of some scathing remarks about watercoolers.
Oh, I know. Why is it so tough to get horsepower out of Porsche NA watercooled motors, but everyone else seems to be able to do it without to much effort Isn't the old E30 M3 about the same size, but putting out 195HP? Heck, the 2.0L Honda S2000 cranks out 225HP or something right (I have left an opening here for someone to rag the sky high revs at which that motor produces power).
Hey this is fun. Am I on the right track with this stuff?
I'd bring up the Hitler connection but I had to kick some guy's *** on the Grassroots Motorsports board a couple weeks ago about that

Well Guys,
I thought you folks would be the ones to ask... how can I convert my '86 944 NA to a YUGO powered 4? I already drilled out the stock YUGO rims and now I am trying to get the reverse light mounted on top of my spoiler. Jeez, I know I can do it....

Jeremy, great idea!
I was actually thinking of converting my 944 into a 911. I already have the 944 so I can just through my engine in the back, put the headlights up and bash in the front a little bit. Hmm, what else would I have to do....Bust out the back hatch and put a huge whail tail, I can find one big enough to fit in the stock position of the hatch, don't you think? I should prolly through a few bricks in the back so I can make the weight even more unbalanced.
I better get cracken...

Hmm...You know what would be really sweet...Drop a Cayenne engine Onto my 944 and give it a good 4" lift. Yep..put the engine on top of the car...for superior handling. It would still be water cooled of course. Maybe work out a little ram air setup. Hell maybe even forget driving the rear wheels and just strap a propellor to the crank.
(Anybody play Viper racing? Jack up the ride height in any of the cars...works best in the sedan....thats what driving an SUV feels like...turn the wheel...oops I rolled over)

My go, oh bollocks, I already have done it, errr what else is there to do, got it, why don't we get all the 951's together and graft the engines into the lesser popular Ibiza system porsche, that way you can improve the cumbersome handling of the 944 chassis and have all that power in a proper front wheel drive car. Power should be alright as the turbo's are slow anyway, that's if there not already blown up or having the relay's replaced, I heard somewhere that instead of endurance racing that they were entering Porsches for relay races this year ,
