Question UPDATED 944NA NOSE...WHAT DO YOU THINK???

I wanted to change the front bumper of my 86 NA, but I did not want to "pose" as a turbo. After some searching, I have found this. It utilizes all existing lights and has all holes predrilled and includes all mounting brackets. Of course, the major drawback is that if it gets tapped, it is going to be crushed...no bumper shocks. What do you folks think?

I think that's a great looking upgrade for an NA! I would make sure you price ALL necessary parts. It looks like they have a European bumper which I heard was quite expensive.

Good Luck,

I like it; but then again, I have found my bumper shocks useful on two occasions.

I'm planning on putting that bumper on this summer, as well as the 968 rear end. I like the way the flashers are moved to the upper bumper line by the wheel arch like on the newer cars. Plus, like you said, you're not posing as a turbo, and personally, I think the more aggressive looking Fiberwerks front end is nicer than the turbo front. Don't get me wrong, the turbo still is nice. I say go for it, and let us know how it turns out...after all, you really don't have that much choice in front ends...The original N/A...the Euro N/A....The turbo....That ugly rice *** kokeln front end...or the Fiberwerks one....

And as for the shocks...well, if you pay attention to where you're going, hopefully you won't ever need them. As for the other rejects on the road trying to talk on their cellphone, put on makeup or smoke, read a magazine, drink their coffe and take care of their kids in the back seat all at the same time as they try to navigate through traffic...you'll just have to kick'em in the nutz if they hit you.

All Parts are included...

Actually, the Euro looking front bumper is a part of the entire front end piece. Carl, the owner of Fiberwerks, has made a product that incorporates the look of the Euro bumper while updating (my opinion) the lower valence. It will take 3 weeks to make and ship to me. I'll post pics when it's completed.

Other Opinions????

That's my favorite one. I'm setting something up to be able to sell their products (among a few other 924/944/951/968 aftermarket things) online. Want to wait and buy from me?

I like it. There is also a car on ebay for sale with that front cover. It looks pretty nice, although if you look at the one on ebay, I am not too crazy about the way the lower lip fits on the bumper, but I don't know whether that is a Fiberworks part or not.

The lower lip is an option that I am not ordering at this time. They do have quite a few other nice options, like side skirts...

That might be my favorite 944 front end, including the turbos. I don't much care for the N/A's front end, I like the 968's and the turbos, but that one looks really sweet. Update us on how it fits, how much of a pain it is to install, we've seen from previous posts that some of those front ends can be a pain.

Thumbs up

OK I just found out that I have no choice but to replace my right fender and front faring. Sooooo I am going to have this front end put on my car. The only question is weather or not to have side vents or not. My car is Silve Grey. I am also thinking about the side skirts and rear bumper sold by them as well. I need you opinions. Email me at thetechguy@mediaone.net and let me know what you think.
