Actually, they're not exactly the same. 968 brakes have larger pistons than the 951/S2. I don't know if it's worth swapping onto a 951/S2, but it's definitely cheaper than big reds or 030 brakes.

they are not bigger than the 1991 S2 the parts number for the 36mm calipers seals is the same for the 91 s2 and the 93-95 968 part # 951-351-919-10-OEM

I agree to a certain extend. All post '86 951/S2/968 and even some 964 models have the same front and rear calipers except the M030 option ones. '86 951 have smaller pistons on the front calipers but the rears are the same. I had '86 951 ones and "upgraded" to the ones with bigger pistons at the front and they came from a 964 but are the same as the ones on the models listed above. I parted a '91 S2 and measured the pistons and they are the same as the ones I have from a 964.

I admit I actually don't know what sizes the 944S2 used, but I have read in multiple places that the 951 front pistons are smaller than the 968 front pistons. I think the rears are all the same.

Maybe they were all using the '86 951 for measurement. Next time I do brakes, I'll measure the pistons on my 951 and on my 968.
