Yup,
A Plymoth Reliant. "...and a Reliant K which runs 10's with a best pass of 10.41 at 132 mph! "
Impressive what he's done to it and what he's broke along the way. Here is the web site, it was posted earlier in another thread. Good hot rodding information.

Weight of my car is (last time I weighed it) somewhere around 3400 lbs. With me, around 3600. That's all I remember. I'm still trying to get it to go on a diet, but it says, "Hell no, the weight is the only thing keeping me from being airborne, flying with the nearest airliner..."
I haven't got a chance to put it on race scales to figure weight distribution. I have a set up at my parents house. I'll do that when I get a chance.
Late. Gotta' go to sleep....

Well, looking at all these posts, among others,...I've come to a very simple conclusion. EVERYBODY, no matter who they are, nor what they drive, likes to give their 2 cents about their own car, and how good it does. Bottom line: Everybody likes their cars, and wants to brag a little about them. There's nothing wrong with that.

Rob,
Sounds like you have a quick car. At the shop where I have my commute car worked on, one of the mechanics has a '67 Camaro with "327" on the front fenders. Inside it's a 427 with a 200 HP bottle in the trunk. He has the huge cheater slicks on the back and has recently added a large rear spoiler and more recently wheelie bars. He's hoping to turn 9's. Nine's are tough for a street car driven regularly. At any rate, it's definitely a sleeper. I have a 986 944 turbo, with a 968 motor that's been bored. It is difficult to get a lot of cubic inches out of these in that you are limited by head gaskets available and on the stroke side by rod clearance. How much do you want to notch out of the block? Because of the tremndous strength of the bottom end of Porsche motors (the main bearings on this 4 cyl. are larger than the 427 chevy) you can run up the power with more boost. Carillo rods, J&E pistons, a 2.7 liter N/A head, larger valves (ex. is Nickel-Vac 90), MoTeC engine management, big intercooler, big exhaust, big turbo, Barrell valve intake manifold, special cam that was designed using a Spintron, etc., and I end up with a pretty quick car that looks, for all intense and purposes, like a stock 944 turbo. The problem is launching a low displacement turbo. Porsches have stiff suspensions. The front engine ones (even though they have a 50/50 weight distribution) are not condusive to great drag starts. So my first pass was only a 12.5. I have cockpit adj. boost, and I've run as much as 22 lbs. On this day I only run 18 lbs. My third run was 12.2. It was spin in 1st, shift, bog, spin in 2nd, shift, bog a little in third, then scoot pretty good. Unfortunately, the six speed gearing I'm using is so short that I'm deep into 5th at the end of the 1/4. My speed, on the 3rd run was 131.4 mph. This was done on 245 mm Dunlop SP Sport 8000 tires with 34lbs. of air in them. The tires have a wear rating of 200, so they're pretty hard. I would like to think, that if I had drag slicks on, I could get into the low 11's, but I obviously won't know until I get them. My slowest speed was 127.8. Not bad for a very streetable 4 banger.
