Default FS: Platinum Metallic '83 - Fuchs, Sport Seats

Posting this for a friend as I performed all of the work on this car. It is one of those 944's where, for the next 2+ years you will only have to change oil and put gas in it, it is all sorted out.

For sale is a beautifully maintained 1983 Platinum Metallic Porsche 944 with color matching Fuchs wheels (15x7 front, 15x8 in back). This car in the last year has had all major maintenance performed (new Sachs Clutch kit, Timing belt, Water Pump). It has the rare early sport seats (some tears in leather), very desirable manual steering rack (car is so light this doesn't matter at all), 3 spoke sport steering wheel with Momo hub adapter & Porsche Crest Horn button, JVC/HD Radio with upgraded speakers (speaker covers missing from photos but are included), professionally tinted windows, and it has many more new parts as I am very particular about my vehicles. Odometer works but was broken for unknown time, estimated mileage is 80-100K.
This car is Pa inspected, has WORKING A/C, and In the last year this car has had replaced:

Tires (Khumo Ecsta 225/50/15)
Timing belt/balance shaft belt rollers
Special Mercedes Benz Coolant with distilled water
Mobil 1 15w-50 Full Synthetic Engine Oil
Very rare coolant crossover pipe heat shield - a special european 944 part
Front Brake Rotors (Zimmerman coated)
Front Brake Pads
Front control arms/ball joints with Powerflex Polyurethane bushings - really tightens up the steering & handling
Front Steering Rack delrin bushing - also very much tightens up the steering
4 wheel laser alignment
Rear shocks
Transmission fluid (Redline Synthetic)
Short throw shifter (on trans)
Sunroof seal
Rear hatch seal
All bulbs replaced with white LED's - much more modern look and better lighting
Ignition wires - Beru
Spark Plugs - Bosch with silver electrodes
Ignition cap & rotor - Bosch
Speed & reference Sensors - Bosch
Fuel Pump - Bosch
Fuel hoses - Genuine Porsche
Upgraded Battery Cables - 944CS
Upgraded Hella H4 E-Code headlights with Sylvania Silverstar bulbs
Cyberdyne Digital Air/Fuel gauge in place of clock

This car has been maintained in the last year by a 944 specialist and will be one of the best 944's you've ever driven. It is well sorted and ready for a cross country trip. It is registered as a classic and I may transfer the classic tag to the new owner.

$3900 Call Joe at 610-308-6090

Owner is a very honest guy and is a police officer so does not have a lot of time for tire kickers.
Car is located in Upper Darby/Haverford area just outside of Philadelphia.

Forgot to mention, seller is motivated, $3900 is not a firm price but he is not entertaining any lowball offers.

the odometer was broken when he got it (now fixed with a new gear) but I estimate it has under 100k miles on it judging by the condition of the parts "underneath" (engine bay, underbody, transmission, suspension - if you have been around enough 944's you learn to see where these cars get dirty, and how dirty they get after so many miles). This car was garage kept for many years and it shows - the dark brown carpet is stilll in very good condition.

What a great example, and at a very good price. If I didn't have our 2nd baby on the way, I'd buy it for the heck of it and daily drive it. Seems well maintained and great opportunity for someone.

tell me about it. $2900 is a steal for this car. I would buy it if I didn't already have an '84 Platinum Metallic car.
