Default Finally got the LS1 dyno'd

I took my car to RStyle Performance in Loveland, OH (east side of Cincinnati) along with Dan Jauch's Martini spec car and Elliot's chump car last Saturday. John Rugh at RStyle did an excellent job and their dyno equipment is top notch.

I'm actually pretty amazed at how much power this thing makes with so little done to it. I think 366 at the wheels equates to about 429 at the crank.

Engine is an LS1 out of a 24k mile 2000 Corvette (OEM 350 crank hp)
Mods are a mild cam, LS6 intake, 28 lb injectors, Comp Beehive valve springs, chromoly pushrods, Melling HV oil pump, LS2 timing chain, LS6 valley cover, Norris oil catch can, custom intake tube with relocated TB and 3" K&N filter, custom modified S&P headers, custom 3" exhaust with Flowmaster Outlaw pre-muffler and Magnaflow muffler. (*EDIT* cam details are: 225/229 .580/.585 114lsa 110icl)

A/F ratios were a bit rich I think. At WOT in 4th gear, they were around 10:1 at 2000 RPM and ramped up pretty linearly to a little under 12:1 at 6000 RPM. I'm no engine tuner, so please chime in if you have ideas about whether these A/F ratios are healthy or not. I'm looking more for engine health and reliability than peak power...

13.5 is the magic number for NA engines. although even 13.0 is fine. remember to temperature compensate for winter temps vs summer temps

Thanks for the A/F advice. Sounds like my tune is way too rich then. It is a tune that the guy who sold me the cam put on the PCM based on dyno tuning of another car with the same cam, intake, etc. I suspect he didn't adjust for my higher flow injectors.

That was from my simulator...

I need to put up some new videos from the track so I can keep them online.

damn, that is a solid run. good noise, good numbers. pull out some fuel and it should go up a bit. maybe high 12s AFR or 13.0 across peak torque range, should give a good margin of safety for hot days/high load but still be good on MPG (not that that matters for a V8 swapped porsche though )

I like to see 12.8 for AFR's at WOT. You're making decent power and have some more on the table once you lean things out a bit...

Have to agree with this but I wouldn't go even 13:1 because you will start to see the loss of flame front speed.

Yes, +1 on 12.8. 12.7 is considered ideal AFR for an NA motor for peak power , higher AFR for fuel efficiency.
