Nice car & pics! I'm guessing Linen on the interior color. Looks alot like mine. Unfortunately, hard to keep clean as a track/autox car, so ended up swapping seats and some interior bits with Black.
Waste no time in getting the usual suspects checked out: Timing belt, water pad and cam tensioner pad. Especially the tensioner pad....

^ That is a painful picture...
Congrats on the new S2. I've gotta say I loved the nearly one year of owning mine!

Thanks for the comments!! This is my third 944, first S2! 141k miles on it, with a newly installed timing belt! I picked it up from a guy locally here on the central coast of California, for a killer price. Pretty much stole the car. It needed the timing belt done, and still needs tires, shocks/springs, brakes, and has a few cosmetic dings, + needs a new AC compressor as you would expect for a 23 year old car. After spending 8+ hours detailing it, the paint looks brand new, and the interior is the cleanest interior i've seen on a 944. Has like 1 1/2 dash cracks, and a white interior. it is CLEAN! I'm the 4th owner of the car, and the previous owner had the car for the last 10 years only putting 20k miles on it. as I said, I practically stole the car... Here are a few more pictures for your viewing pleasure! ![](http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h165/p8ntballtwin/IMG_3625.jpg)

S2s are really fun. The torque is right where you can use it and the gearing is perfect for it.
The only crux is the timing chain and tensioner. I see too many tensioners breaking off of their mounts in the head. If you can stay on top of that, the S2 is probably the most solid and rewarding 944 there is.
