Default Anyone know where i can find a manual steering intermediate shaft?

I picked up a used manual steering rack off an '83 a few weeks ago and have it all cleaned up and regreased. However I can't for the life of me find a shaft to go with it and complete the conversion. I've checked craigslist within 1000 miles of me and ebay and nothing has popped up. If anyone has one taking up space i'd love to buy it, or if there is a diy alternative i dont know about that would be great too.

They are nla new and the used ones I've seen could do with rebuilding (30 yrs old). If your lucky enough to find one used make sure the joints are tight. There is someone here or on RL who can rebuild a used one, do a search it was a recent post. But, you will still need to find a used one.

The only alternative option I know is to have a new shaft custom built by Borgeson which is what I did (pic).

Btw the new power rack shafts are also nla

I've got at least one spare manual shaft in good shape laying around in good shape. PM me if interested.

Check with V2Rocket_aka944, he's got a thread going about some early parts at a boneyard.

No, won't fit.

I welded an extension in a power shaft to make it fit (do a search). Also, Rennlister Deans944 (??) has come up with a process to rebuild them with new bearings.

The PO of my car ('83 NA with manual steering) found NOS parts for my manual rack thru 944 online, they were brought in from Germany and took awhile.
