Default A/C ?

Hello I have been working on A/C here is what I have done removed compressor and expansion valve. Ran a/c flush through condenser, evaporator and lines no blockage refilled compressor with new oil, installed new expansion valve, new receiver dryer fixed the one leak I had bad o ring at condenser. Pulled a vacuum for an hour let it set over night and it held vacuum . Recharged with duracool with the correct amount 2- 6oz cans. Started car and took it for a spin cooled to 42 f returned and went out later now only 60 f rechecked pressures and low side at idle is 50 and high is 150 ?? So am I looking at new compressor?

First, I'm surprised the system only took 12 oz - usually AC systems take on the order of 2 lbs.

Second, can you verify that the clutch on the compressor is turning on? Do you have pressure specs for what it should be?

The clutch is turning . At the duracool web sight it says one 6oz can is the equivalent to 17 oz. CFC-12. When charging systems with DURACOOL 12a® the pressures will be the same for the low side as factory ( 28 - 45 PSI) and about 5-10% lower on the high side than CFC-12 .

you need to charge the system until the sight glass on top of the dryer is clear- not bubbling- no matter what gas you use. The compressor is prob. staying off or short cycling due to the low pressure switch- 50lb on the low side- either your compressor is not running or you have too much gas in the system.
