Save a few more bucks and go for a MK1 996 C2, seriously. Best p-car bang for the buck. 300HP with no mods, easy to DIY maintenance. You wont be disappointed. Otherwise, like Ernie, I would go 968 before early boxster.

The paint is an interesting factory color for Porsche though..

and all Ferrari's should have a tan interior.

No way! The outrageous color combos are awesome!!

That plum car is awesome just the way it sits. Only an idiot not comfortable with thier own manhood would mess with a cool rare Porsche like that.

Outrageous in it's ugliness....my post wasn't about threatened manhood..it was about the potential to go blind.

i went back and forth with a few colors including a gorgeous Toyota gunmetal grey, before finding a cobalt variant that i loved.

this color was also high on the list....

but i wouldn't paint mine in a rare P-car color (especially one that was offered from the factory in this car) for obvious reasons.

personally, i hate the interior on that car. espcially the steering wheel.

i just think black is the appropriate interior color and would really make that car.

993 TT sports seats in black would also be nice.

Oh! so sorry I hurt your taste budd with that interior, btw if my memory is not failing me I recall Porsche coming out with an 88-951S call the "Silver Rose" which had the same interior color as that 968 minus the sport seats & yet nobody will dare calling it a girlie car even the most macho of us.

It wasn't the style as much as being bright purple interior in a purple car. It would be like can-can red interior on a guards red.

My stripper comment was about the color not the car...I don't think Boxsters are "girlie'....Miata's definitely have a feminine stigma though.. and the 968 is my favorite variant of the 944 series. Just for clarification..
