If anyone wants a split, I'd take the shell.

Or if anyone wants one of my 95 M3's...

I'm going to look at it at 6 tonight. He's a mile from my house. If I don't pick it up I'll let you know what I find.

No response. It must have laughed at his wallet and just eaten him outright.

Okay, went to look at the car.....

Owner is a very nice guy that got taken for a ride when he bought it. Very nice guy.

Pro's:
Motor sounds very good.
No evidence of any major damage.
Color is nice but paint not so much

Con's:
Besides being an automatic, it's a broken automatic so we couldn't take it out for a drive. Sounds like the flex plate is rattling bad.
Interior is 4/10 looks like they tried to cover the dash with something?
A little body work on the passenger front fender.

The car is right on that edge of buy it and part it out or bring it back to it's previous glory. I'd prefer the second option as I there just aren't that many out there. But I also know it will take $5000 to bring it back with me doing most of the work.

Someone is coming to look at it on Saturday with plans of parting it out. If he doesn't buy he may consider my offer.

Hate to see another one chopped up.

sounds like an extremely worthy project car. i sure hope you get her.

plan A; the car should be taken to Eric Hill's shop.

he can ship the engine to Vitesse Racing....

after the car is converted into LS1 rocketcar...

then you can get to the paint and interior, whenever.

plan B; or simply get a proper manual box for her...

and you can get to the paint and interior. whenever.

Well Odurandina,
It would appear that we'll be going with plan B. We've agreed upon a price so I am now the proud owner of a 968 that will get some TLC over the next racing "down season"

Wish I could afford the 968 box you have.

Anyone have a nice grey dashboard??

huge congratulations !!

you can check with Jeff (968 forum) for the correct interior color.

SEM products will something extremely close to the original grey.

use Devcon plastic welder to repair the cracks....

proper prep (220, 400, 800), masking... and bomb it.

dash will come out looking like it just came from the factory.

Agreed! Especially with the extremely low 968 production numbers!
