More racing video
I thought you guys might like some of my footage from the Mosport PCA race last weekend. There were 12 cars in SP2 class.
In the first sprint race, I did a neat "pass in the grass":
And in the enduro, after a bunch of good racing, I ended up spinning:

That was cool - more of this!
The comments you added are great too, it's really cool to be able to see the strategies you're using to compete with more powerful cars. I've never tracked my car but now I really want to...

Thanks for the compliments!!
It is a great track - fast and great rhythm. Good elevation changes, too! Have you ever done Summit point? I might do that PCA race this year.
The data acquisition is Aim; the video is SmartyCam. They have a cable connecting them so they "talk" and the SmartyCam overlays the data as it records the video. (If only there were a cable to my head to record my thoughts...)
Turn 5 is a good place to push... Makes the difference between a good lap time and a great lap time for me! But, as you see, it can be overdone! According to my data, I was actually on the brakes earlier on that last lap... and then I gave it more gas up 5a, and at the top, I believe I lifted to abruptly and that initiated the spin.
I highly recommend everyone take their car to the track - even if it's your street car. Not only is it the most fun you'll have with your clothes on, but you'll learn something, too!

I did Summit last year and really enjoyed it. Those folks put on a well organized event. Interesting track. Long fast front straight and some real tight technical corners. It's where PCA racing began. I'd love to go back this year but have a conflict. If you go, watch out for the deer. See recent video on Youtube. I saw a few last year but they stayed off the track. Have you been to Road Atlanta?

I knew about the event, but could not free myself up to go. Too bad to, as I am so close, would have been great to see some 44's competitively driving full tilt! Fun vids. Always worth the hike out to turn 5 to watch the racing action. Not hard to get dirty watching..or dodging the odd car part when the uninitiated try to dive into turn 5 3 wide, and learn the hard way.
