Ocean Blue was indeed the original color, but it was a few different shades of blue when I got it, and had a few big dents, but now it is looking much better.

I'm happy for your good luck. It doesn't always go that way, does it? Beautiful car.

Thats great news Ian. Glad it worked out well. BTW, is the car completely stock other than the LSD in it?

Modifications are limited on this car, it has:
- LSD (factory unit)
- M474 Suspension (getting a little old, but she handles fairly well)
- Test Pipe

So no chip on this one. This must be a far cry from the red one. Still an absolutely beautiful colar.

While I have not opened up the ECU to check, I am fairly sure this is still running the stock chip set. There is no mention of any performance upgrades by the previous owner, everything was replaced with OEM parts (including the DME and KLR a few years back).

I have been toying around with the idea of going with some chips to wake the car up a bit, as I know there is a ton more potential even with k26/6, but I want to keep the car as a nice driver so no crazy mods.

But you are right, this car is nothing like the red one, that car was a monster of a 951 and while I miss the power, I hope by keeping this car closer to stock she will be a bit more reliable.

Hey Ian,

I saw you or at least your car today. Looks great in person. I was about 3 cars behind you while you where turning from Monroe rd. onto Stallings rd. Very nice indeed.

Richard,

That was me, I was running out to Touring Car to pick up my father's E34 M5. They do good work out there, but I am thankful I do my own repairs every time I see one of their bills....

And seeing the car from 3 cars back might be just about the perfect distance, that way all the flaws in the paint are invisible and you just see the shiny new paint. As Keith said, it certainly has a glow about it.

Yeah, Dan is an awesome guy. Great shop over there. I too am glad I do all my own work, as I would not own this car if couldn't. I would be broke in no time.
