Only problem are the bushes ,they dont come in the right size, you would either need custom poly bushes or use a racers edge adapter for the sphericals but that's expensive.
Heres one example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dax-Kit-Ca...item20c4f11313
924 guys seem to have luck with these, but you have to drill out the shock mounts to 1/2" to make them fit...

Years ago KLA industries sold a coilover kit using QA1s. I had a set I sold last year, they looked well-made. There were bushings included with the KLA kit to make it fit the 944.

Some people had problems with the springs rubbing on the turbo transmission oil cooler though. Springs are super cheap and almost too easy to swap out.

The link you posted is pretty much exactly what I had. KLA used poly bushings. You could probably put some spherical bearings in those.

And geez, you guys are so impatient. I said give me a week or two.
I'd think you'd want to keep some front-wheel traction when you've got 300+ lbft from 2000rpm on...

I'm currently running QA1 shocks on the back, but with no spring. My set were originally from Huntley which had them mounted upside-down so the spring would clear. I've since flipped them to the correct orientation and am currently looking for an upper spring hat that will clear the body.

I noticed they have a "steep" hat on their site but doesnt give any specification of the angle

how about this?
http://www.qa1.net/qa1_motorsports/c...7024/image/87/

Costs $45.95 a side, 2&1/4" springs cost about $30 each.

If you dont have M030 koni shocks with seats for a helper springs then you could weld a ring/seat on any normal damper (provided that the shocks are not gas filled based and they have been dissasembled and the oil was taken out)
then the threaded pipe can sit on the newly welded ring/seat.

if you have the resources its a 30 minutes job to convert a normal damper into a coilover.

total cost would be under $200 for both sides including shipping, the ring and the welding if you cant weld.

I don't know if the Bilstein hats will fit on the QA1s. Anyone want to send me a set for testing?

Running the QA1s upside-down puts the adjusting **** up into the upper shock pocket where it's very difficult to adjust. That usually means you have to pull the wheel, remove the bolt and drop the shock enough to get to the adjuster. I don't care for that setup - I like to adjust mine on a fairly regular basis. And if I go to the double-adjustable, it won't fit in the pocket because of the placement of the *****.

those KLA rear coilovers leaked and squeeked, discontinued after 2yrs.

Why did you sell yours and then turn around & recommend them after discontinued ?
