Default Jack Point Jackstand Question

I was thinking about getting a set of Jack Point Jackstands but was wondering if I need two or four on my 951?

It seems to me the only place to put the stands is at the center jack point - one on each side. Do you then use a regular jackstand in the front and back to keep the car balanced? Or Do you place another set of Jack Point Jackstands on the rear jacking point?

I would appreciate the opinion of anyone who uses these. Thanks!

Under the frame rails towards where they slope upwards for the front, and if I have to lift the back I put jackstands under the torsion bar mounts, but I prefer to use big wooden blocks for the rear anyways.

Use the center jack point for lifting the car with a floor jack ONLY. I recommend a jacking pad for that so the jack doesn't harm your door frame or slip out. You can use the inner frame rails with floor jacks and the rear torsion bar mounts forward of the rear axles. If your car has been on jackstands before, there may well be small dents in the forward frame rails where the jackstands were previously placed. Make very sure you're solidly mounted on the jackstand before you get under there.

I appreciate the replies but I think I worded my questions poorly. What I am asking is if I want all four wheels of the car in the air (using jackpot stands) would I jack it up with the middle on one side, insert stand, then jack up the other side and insert stand, and then put some regular jack stands on the other front and rear jack point to keep it stable.

Jack Point stands only appear to work for a 944/951 on the middle jack point. So I should only buy two - correct?

if you want all 4 corners in the air at the same time, jack car in middle on each side. insert jack stands usually front control arm rear point and in the back, under the trailing arm. leave em in the lowest position. go to the other side and repeat. if you need more hieght, go back to the first side and jack the car up more and lift the top of the stands. rinse and repeat on 2nd side.

i do it that way with my 3800lb dodge, never an issue, and that thing is not close for weight balance. i used to do it that way with my 87 944, never failed.
