Preval sprayer. Good?
Hey guys
I removed the passenger side mirror on my 951 and I'm gonna seal up the holes but I don't want to paint the entire door. I have a small bottle of guards red touch-up paint from when I had my N/A bumper resprayed (someone backed into me) and I want to use that paint + a disposable preval touch-up paint sprayer on the little section where I'm going to seal the holes. Anyone have experience with them? Here's my plan:
1. I have a large vinyl sticker covering the holes temporarily right now
2. separate door/door card
3. fill holes from behind
4. remove sticker
5. sand to primer
6. skim coat
7. prime
8. spray with preval
9. wetsand
10. buff
bam done. Or have it welded & painted for 300$
What do you guys suggest?

weld it or you will be doing this all again. You can use a prevail sprayer but blending may be difficult or obvious. Try blending at the top body line and spray the entire top of the door.

seven: My passenger mirror isn't convex so it's pretty useless anyways. Besides I think the car looks much better without the mirrors. I have a wink anyways.
Greg: I see. I guess I'll just buy one and try it out on something else first. How viscous should it be?
xsboost: I definitely don't wanna do this again. I'll probably have it welded since I don't have a welder. Any idea how much it costs to have holes that small(large?) just welded? Thanks

Viscous like water. I was using water based dye and still had to thin it, maybe paint is different but I'd be prepared so that you can experiment.

Ramius: I know, but I think it looks better without the mirrors anyways. And with the wink there's more visibility than a side view mirror. I had just a wink on my n/a and after getting used to it, it was just better. Also the lines are more pronounced when you're looking at it from either of the corners. The mirror kind of blocks the view lol.

1. Your paint probably won't match ((except maybe your bumpers)
2. Prevals need highly thinned paint, to the point where it will probably run. They are basically a fraudulent product as far as I could tell.
3. To weld the holes you will need to gut the door and remove any undercoating or paint on both sides, maybe 1-2" around each hole. Welding can cause the metal to warp. Anything else will fall out from vibration
4. I would paint some kind of plastic or metal or rubber plug the size of the holes and push the
