Default lip spoiler experience

If you have one are their any drawbacks?

Does it scrape entering garages, or going over speed bumps?

Is parking a problem?

Thanks

Someone other than FOHA made them in the past. I have seen various styles for an na in Europe but never managed to find a source.

doesn't deutsch nine make from chin spoilers for n/a? coulda sworn i saw an n/a on their site with one

edit: they make em for s2 front end...so while n/a, it's a turbo front

and no, in all likelyhood, it won't scrape doing anything out of the normal. if your car scrapes now in any of the situations that you mentioned, then yes it will. if not then don't worry

I made one out of garden edging and the only thing it has dragged on was that blown retread I had to hit at speed. Otherwise, I never had any issues.

That said, I also take great care to approach steep ramps at an angle and not pull all the way until my tire hits those parking berms.

No worries. I had a feeling that I would be posting that link before too long so you saved me the effort.

Anyway, 5 years later and it has held up really well. The only repairs I had to make were for that afore-mentioned tire tread and once when I dragged the left edge across a snow bank while backing out of my driveway. Both times, the repairs were really easy to do so I will consider that approach a success.

It's nowhere near as nice as a proper front lip but it was still money and time well spent. I still get a lot of surprised compliments on it.

Yeah even if it only lasts a few years it's too simple of a task to pass up.

In addition to the home depot lip for NA, IFC now makes a very aggressive lip for the NA.
