Default Anybody in LA resealed a hatch?

As title states, anybody in the LA/SD/OC general region resealed a 944 hatch before? Need to get mine done, been putting it off for 5 years...

I've done it, but I'm in Tucson, AZ. Only 8-10 hours away I guess. The project is not that bad. The frame can be separated in an evening or a couple of hours.

Drop cover in rear roof to expose sun roof gears and hinges for the hatch.
Remove carpet from LH side of hatch area to expose sun roof motor and connector for the hatch electrics.
Disconnect connector and pull through upper harness hole with string attached to pull back when complete.
Unbolt hinges (hex key).
Remove hatch and move to sawhorses.
Remove all trim and rear wiper motor is installed.
Heat frame with a propane torch and slowly remove frame from glass.
Remove remaining bonding from frame and glass.

On my car I removed the hatch seal so as not to deflect the frame and cause problems with sealing due to the frame being distorted while bonding the glass back in.

Clean and prime glass. - 3M primer
Reinstall frame and bolt hinges in place.
Apply bonding to frame. - 3M urathane - I went with a fast set.
Install glass to frame. Tape in place with blue painter's tape or shim frame to make a good seal. The top is the hardest part to get right. I used a shim and some tape to hold that part up to the glass.
You are not done at this point, obviously, but the car can be driven in a couple of hours.
Give it a day or two.
Pull hatch by removing the hinge bolts and move it back to the sawhorses.
Reinstall trim and wiper motor.
Reinstall hatch seal if removed.
Reinstall hatch, pull harness back into the LH rear cubby and reconnnect the harness.
Enjoy several beers while doing the job (don't worry, have a home brew) and then enjoy the now quiet, non-squeeking, hatch.

I found several wright ups on how to remove the frame - which I found pointless after figuring out the torch trick, but very little on the reinstall.

Best of luck,
Mark
