Default Where to find?

I would like to replace the odometer gear in my early 85. Where I have looked I can't find. I also want and need to change my bulbs in dash. Is there a kit out there?

in the early cars the odometer gear usually doesnt break, but rather slides over and no longer touches the rest of the gears. This involves can-opener-ing the speedo open and superglueing the gear back into place. I believe in my early car experience i had to sand the end of the pin down and then glue the gear so it wouldnt come loose. Not sure about the dash lights but they should be pretty standard. Gauges pop right out.

actually if you search i may have an old thread on how to do the odo gear repair.

Am just about to do this myself - ordered a gear from one of the vendors but it seems they sent me the wrong one - early NA is 17-tooth gear, the one I got is 14-tooth...but I'll open up my speedo and see how it is...

For the instrument lights, which always suffered from a brightness problem, look to the following link: http://www.9xauto.com/servlet/the-22...s-Light/Detail. This will update and repair the cluster so you can actually see the instruments at night. Cheap, too.
