Default Tapered rear brake pads

I was just bleeding my brakes, and I noticed that the rear brake pads have worn into quite a taper. (Rear only, but the same phenomenon on both sides.)

It's a track only car, NA car (and new to me) - is this a common symptom on the single-piston floating calipers? Or do I just have something wonky going on.

My M Coupe used to do that with single piston calipers...common I think.

sounds like worn guides or slides. you might get a little taper, but if the caliper is torquing over it's a problem.

Can be common with single piston calipers. My 944S (N/A calipers) had very uneven pad wear compared to Turbo fixed 4-piston calipers.

Check the orientation of the relief cuts on the pistons.
