I found my notes... From the terminals at the motor:

53a - 12 volts switched from ignition
53 - 12 volts switched for low speed
53b - 12 volts switched for high speed
31 - ground
31b - ground for high and low speed; 12 volts to park when high/low turned off

It's that last part that's key there. The motor requires a reversing of the polarity to the 31b terminal to park - and, of course, the motor must be off before you reverse the polarity!

For the race car, I used a double throw switch for high/low, and a momentary push-button for "park".

Cheers, I want to test it to make sure it's that and not anything else. Because i remember it worked, then it stopped. But it worked again for a little end it quit

There is a position measurement switch in the wiper gearbox. There is a hot-in-run wire that feeds power through the position switch and back to 53s on the relay. Anytime the motor is not in the Park position and the ingition is on, the motor runs until -- it reaches the park position and the position switch opens. If the wipers are "on" power is fed from the wiper switch on the steering wheel to one of the speed control resistor connections on the motor/gear assembly and the motor keeps going through the "Park" position.

The relay is actually just used for intermittent wiper control and park control.

I think the Hot-in-run wire color is black/yellow (SW/GE in Porsche wiring code). The "switch" is actually a conductive track on the side of the wiper drive gear with sliding contacts which moniotor the gear position.

I made up my own schematic for these circuits, which I think I have attached, for what it's worth. I had the gearbox apart on one of these to investigate the parking circuit.
