Default rebuilt engine install issues

Ok, pulled the engine from my wrecked 88' 924s and did a full reseal, new rod bearings, new clutch, new water pump, belts, most of the rollers, and a refreshed head. Installed it in my 87' 944, pulled the fuel pump fuse and primed the engine before I tried to start it and everthing sounded great. Put the fuse back in and it sounds like it wants to start kinda stumbles then I get a high pitch whistle/pop from the engine. Any idea, timing issue maby?

When you say "primed the engine before I tried to start it and everthing sounded great" - do you mean that you're building full oil pressure?

I'd double check the valve timing and the spark plug wiring... Start there. Then make sure all the sensors are connected, etc.

yeah, full oil pressure and I didnt hear anything that sounded out of the ordinary. I made sure I had the plug wires in the right order, I need to check the timing marks to make sure it didnt move.
