mytrplseven love your wheels, seem them plenty of times before.

About the cayenne wheels, I'm in no way considering them. From what I've heard they're WAY heavier than other porsche wheels

You should be patient & start looking for original 993 wheels, draw back is they only come in 7"-8"-9" x 16" but will look very good on your car, they also come up very decently price once in awhile ,keep an eye on the 993 forum.

Also other wheels which you migth look into are C2 5-spokes 16" out of a 968,the same here lots of 968 owners upgrade to 17" Cup & bargain can be very attractive. Here is a set of C2 mounted on a 944 NA.

Keith, Happy Birthday! I had like forty people contact me about the cup 3's, and ask me to hold them, go lower, ship for free etc. ALL the craigslist guys were flakes, Had three who set up a time to look at them and not show up. Had one who asked no questions about the rims just wanted my home address. He sent like ten e-mails asking. I gave him the addy to the walmart by my house, and havent heared back from him since.

I'll do $300 plus shipping. UPS wanted like $60 a rim, but I really, really, dont want to ship. I'm not going to make it to Flagstaff this summer like I wanted, but I could get them as far as Albuquerque. Maybe Jackson is coming up to Colorado for spring break, and he could pick them up and bring them to you? Are you coming up Jackson?

Chris, Thanks for the good reference!

i went from stock phonies to jap replica 17 inch cup ones and i felt no deference other than ride quality and understeer because of the HUGE rear tires.

Butters, you're only 17! Wow, well happy birthday man.

Boxster, Cayman, and 993 all look great I think, although I have to be honest, I don't like those "fangs" very much. Good call on straying away from the 18s, personally, I don't think they look good on 944s and while I wouldn't be took worried about some extra weight, 18s cross the line. 17s look good but if it was me I'd even stick with 16s. Anyway, I'd wait it out man. Don't just jump at the first set of OEM wheels you can get your hands on, get a set thats in your price range and that you'll enjoy for a good while. Good luck dude.

I have a lot of family in abq...
They just went home from visiting us today! haha not sure when the next time we're meeting up with them is.

I'm not in any kind of rush. Just trying to work my way towards finding a set of wheels.

I personally think you guys are all wrong about 18s. Sure in most cases they are going to be heavier, but not all.

How many of those against it have run the with a PROPER suspension set up?

I've been browsing cl every day. Haven't paid much attention to the RL classified. Most rennlister sales I've seen tend to be on the higher end of $$ but I should look there more often.

Im finishing up a set of 16' dials for my car right now. And butters, you WILL feel a difference on the street when you go up in tire/wheel diameter. Both in acceleration, and steering. Try to find a set of 968 wheels, they look good on 944 n/a's.
