What are these cables in the engine bay for?

Hi all,
I have these 2 loose cables in my engine bay, on the drivers side, right in front of the windscreen, that is not connected to anything and I do not know what are for.
You can see the 2 connectors in the middle of the picture. One on a thicker black cable. And one on a thin blue cable.
Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks for the explanation!
So does this mean the 944 have some heated squirters in addition to the normal "non-heated" squirters?
I guess it makes sense that the hose carries some fluid...
And both cables go to this squirter?
