I don't understand what a wiper spoiler is

 

Early cars had them, probably only on ROW cars. They are wings attached to the drivers side only wiper arms that were supposed to stop the wiper lifting off the glass at speed. See pic of 82 Euro 944 with spoiler on drivers side arm below:

 

Since no one has asked, how did you do it? Products, technique, etc. My inquiring mind wants to know.
