Always used Beru but it seems that after only a year the outer rubber insulation starts to show cracks at the bends. Are there any better alternatives? I notice LR has a few silicon options, please post feedback about them or others you have used? Pics would be good

Yeh not keen on the grounded ones, I saw them on the LR site and really don't see the point. I presume you attached them to the intake bolts not the cam tower and I don't want to replace the intake gasket at this time.

Any use the Lindsey Magacor set-up? Feedback?

Magnacore is as good as it gets. Nology is a bunch of bling and can cause problems with their internal resistors being use on cars that don't need them.

I have used the LR magna core wires and love them, they look good, and have performed exceptionally in all conditions.

Beru here, original wires/dis cap/rotor car has 82,519 klms a little over 50K miles leads & wires are in very good condition (no problems yet but thinking of doing the (cap/rotor this Spring ) wires will stay the same.Btw wires under the sheat are silicon.

I was looking at the Magnacore, reasonable price too. I'm also not keen on the Nology resistor set-up, used them before and they caused problems that I only noiced disappear when I put the Beru's back on.

Problem with the Beru's is that on the 944 they angles are tight on the distributor and they always crack on me at the bends within a year. Otherwise they are fine.

Think i'll try the Magnacores next, are LIndsey the best place to get them?

What's the price difference between the Beru's and Bosch? I have Bosch on mine.

I've use Bosche silicon on my 944 for years & never once had I have any issues with them either the wires or connectors. The one you see in the pic were on there for at least six year & some 35K miles when pic was taken. You can get them here at a very decent price.www.autopartsway.com they are still on the car with over 50K miles on them & have no issues yet.

I never really liked the fit of the Magnecors and wouldnt recommend them. The connectors are not very good and never really snapped on tightly i felt like. Plus the boots can be very fragile if your not careful (twist, then pull off.. pulling straight off will probably rip the boots).

I would recommend the LR Magwire 1200 degree wires.. Beru style connectors so everything fits nicely. Price is only a little more than the Magnecor's also.

Got to agree about the Beru connectors, I haven't seen any that fit as well. So Magacore with Beru ends from Lindsey it will be. Thx all!

I'd like to know what Magnecor wire LR uses in their Magwire 1200° sets. If they were made with KV85, I'd be all over a set!

Magnecor's in a number of cars (Porsche, Land Rover, VW etc.) over the years have worked well with no issues for me. I have always bought the red (8mm?) sets. I have to agree with TechnoDuck however that the connectors never seem to "snap" when you push them into the rotor cap or on the plugs. They can be a little thick for some wire looms but put a drop of water on it and they will twist right in.
