Default bad news - need some valuation help

I spun my Euro 944, November 1982.
I'm now preparing for the battle with the insurance company... they told me today it will definitely be a total loss.
Is anyone with Panorama's most recent valuation issue feel willing to look up the 1982 Euro 944, or second best, 1983 Euro / US 944. I can at least start from there.
Moreover, I've been searching threads for the past hour looking for any recent sales on here. Mine was in excellent condition, a true WPOZZZ... Euro car, serial number 00720, 59,xxx original miles. Any ideas would help me.
I'm bummin in a big way.
Not so much about the money and fight with the insurance company, but the loss of a real friend. I've had the car a dozen years this year, and it's been good to me in SO many ways - best therapy I ever had was rebuilding that car.
Man...
Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and if I buy the salvage back, it has original Fuchs on it - so those will go up for sale first. New Yoko tires all around, staggered width rims. bla bla... I'm not ready to sell stuff yet.

if they deemed the car a total loss, best thing in my opinion would be to buy a clean doner roller and swap your parts over to the new car. your car's sould can live on in another 944. it would be best imo.

I'd be amazed if you can get them above $4k, just based on market prices. Do you have "before" (accident) pictures?

Default your soon-to-be reborn 944....

and btw, how many 30 year old cars are worth any money whatsoeve ? is it a 911 or Ferrari 308 ? no. not to mention, one spin every 10 years for a car worth less than 3,500 dollars is a bargain in and of itself. get a roller, swap stuff over and move on. glwystbrb944.

Check http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Ca...r-Coupe/Values.
This is what the Insurance and a repair shop would most likely use to determine value.

Thanks for the NADA link, Indy Rev.
I don't think I'm going to rebuild or swap this vehicle... you younger guys will be able to enjoy that much more than me! I had my time with it - and it was nothing short of amazing.

Still looking for the Panamera listing if anyone knows of a recent post.
Thanks, guys.

Hey Devon!
What have you been up to - been a LOOOONG time!
It's a major bummer to see it in such bad shape... but I'm ready to move on, I guess.

Thanks for that link.
I think we picked a value today. Had to negotiate a bit (> than an hour on the phone and several emails back and forth), but I got to an acceptable number. I won't post it until all is said and done.
Still waiting to hear the salvage cost / valuation anyway.
Thanks for all of the support, guys!
Jake
