Default Is a 944 S2 cab worth $30k?

Gooding and Company seem to think so...

Note also the 968 Turbo S clone on the list.

if it's got very...very low miles on it, 100% stock, in brand new condition i don't see why it wouldn't be worth that much.

Yes, the range may be a bit inflated, but I haven't seen the car's condition and provenance. Out of that collection, I would be most interested in 934...or 935...or GT1...or even 924 Le Mans. Selfishly, I hope the 944 Cup car goes at least within Gooding's range.

Unless it's the first (obviously not) or last vin number, HELL no it's not worth that much money.

as long as the low mileage hasn't stopped them from replacing dry old rubber on the car...

within the last few days several posts have come up with 944s at way over $20k...even pristine ones, that is HIGH. gotta love it if this is a sign of values rising to come,.

I suspect any price inflation is only for low mileage models in original condition... and those are becoming scarcer and scarcer.

true, but if there were a sort of valuation tool like KBB with low/avg/hi values for the car, these pristine high-dollar examples may shift the whole chart to the right somewhat.

i suppose it depends on whether the buyers are more interested in a pristine, taken care of car, versus the fact it has low mileage.

I had an offer last year in the low $30Ks for my 944 NA. Granted, it's an ex-Rothmans, factory Cup model. I drove it around yesterday; I still really enjoy driving the car.

I hope it gets 30k without trying.

I think the end of cheap 944's is slowly approaching.

The thing is is that the pristine cars being sold at these auctions are on a completely different level. To the people buying then it won't make the slightest difference if they buy it for 20k or 30k. They probably have never bought a car off of craigslist.

I'm not saying that any of this is bad but if the nicest 944 cab in existence sells for 30k at auction don't expect your runout NA will be worth 15k in a week.
