Default FS NIB 924 "Sherpa" Ski Rack

As title states, brand-new in original box (with original instructions and warranty card) Sherpa brand Ski Rack originally for Porsche 924. Rubber straps for holding skis are in good shape. All hardware is shiny, black paint looks like it could have been done yesterday. Even the lock (still not set with a combination, as it left factory) looks good as new.

This attaches on one end to the hatch hinge bolts and on the other to the upper bumper shock bolt on the driver side. Designed for 924; does not appear to have quite enough clearance to use on a 944 due to the 944 spoiler. Could be easily adapted to 944 with a spacer for the lower mount or a small "adapter" for where the skis attach.

Because this is brand-new, I am asking $115 shipped OBO.

Too bad Koa just bought one... How crazy is it that 2 of these popped up in 6 months?

But I bought one that was a touch different... (newer model!)

Also brand new, and found it via a 4 year old thread on Pelican!

Yup - yours is the 944 style, mine is for the 924 but will still bolt on to the 944. May need some tweaking to clear the 944 wing though...if I don't sell it, maybe I'll have to take up skiing.

For anyone interested, this was a dealer installed (ordered) option...

One of the rare accessories you could order from the dealer when you bought a 944... I was on the lookout for a couple of years looking for one...

AND... there is another one available that I know of (origional owner of a car for sale here chimed in that if the buyer wants he still has the ski rack!)...

We had one of thee on my Dad's brand new 924 back in 1977!!

What I have discover with the 951 is that with the rear seats down my 190 length skis lay diagonally in the back just fine.
