First... the cylinder head, and yes the retainers are still in the spring collars... on all 8...

And the same after we removed the non-needed bits...

And yes, that is a hole... where there isn't supposed to be one, and a crack where there isn't supposed to be one!

what made you notice there was something wrong with the engine before the head came off?

According to the PO it broke the belt at idle. Lol!

As far as I know it has like 140k on it.

84 na btw.

Since they are low comp pistons I can JB weld the hole and run them like that right?

The 8 bent valves didn't help either.... Notice they are parallel to the head surface!
