Default eBay UK 968 style rear spoilers

Has anyone purchased one of the fiberglass replica 968 style rear spoilers from the gent selling them on eBay UK?

I would like to pick one up and convert it to an adjustable one similar to the D9 968 turbo RS adjustable wing. Seller has two types available. A stock lower 968replica which he lists as a "4 piece hoop spoiler"

And a taller on that he states is a 968 turbo RS replica here:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-92...item45fea9b457

I plan on doing a conversion to an adjustable one a la D9 as was talked about in this thread last week:

https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...n-a-944-a.html

Question is has anyone purchased anything from this eBay vendor and if so how was the quality? Any input is appreciated.

I don't think its a 968 style spoiler. It 's a custom spoiler that in my opinion is rice. Just go for the real (real for a replica ) thing. I 'll show you a better picture of the spoiler below:

The one in the pic does look a little ricey. Too "squared off" to be a replica. Anyone else have pics? I'm waiting for the vendor to send me a few detailed shots.

I think the squared off one looks better on a 944 and the rounded off on a 968. I don't like 968 mirrors and door handles on the 944 for the same reason, trying to modernize a classic just doesn't look right to me.

I'd really like to have comparison pics of the eBay vs. "factory piece".

+1, I'm not a big fan of the 968 mirrors/handles either.

Having a slightly different than factory spoiler than factory is rice but that ridiculous lower bumper thing isn't?

This is a picture of the ((ricey)) boxy model I got here test fitted. It looks great now and it'll look even better when the cars painted

Thanks Rob. Thanks again for the battery cover my friend.

Here is info on the wing I bought. $189 plus shipping. This guy has both the 968 replica and another that is 2” taller (see below).

This is a 4 piece fiberglass replica and it is a bit rough out of the box but with some work it is a great deal. The guys name is Stuart and his email is jalla400@aol.com.

I like that!

May have to add that to my list for the turbo.

that lower bumper thing is a standard 944 option.

I say go for the higher spoiler and make the adjustments right as the spoiler starts to curve.

Does anyone do a reasonably priced FG replica of the bigger stock spoiler? The 931CGT style one:

The only one I have been able to find is the one from GT Racing. "Reasonable" being a relative term. $435. I do think that it is the best look for a 944.
