Sunroof latches seem to be a common failure on these cars... What even breaks on them?

the power sunroof arms are known to break. also the front latches break due to brittle plastic. these are the rear latches that install in place of the power sunroof arms...these don't break

Yup, these are the only parts you actually need to do the conversion.

when i did mine a few weeks ago i had to use both pieces of the latch to make it work i also had to make up a bracket for the car side but i think its because i gutted the power components completely............6Lbs

if you leave the block attached to the roof that the power arms slide on that will work for the manual latches to close against.

Keith, its what's done on my car. I've actually seen a lot of these manual latches break over the years, so a second set might nice for you. Its good price also.

Kyle-
Agreed, my power sunroof didn't work anyway. Changed mine over to manual latches as soon as I found a pair for sale. For someone who will rarely use the car power sunroof is great, but using it as a daily driver some folks go crazy trying to keep the power set up working right.

I think I'm fine Kyle. Not a big deal to just wait until they do break
